Join us as a Mid-Level Software Engineer within the Direct Attack Weapons software group in St. Charles, MO, supporting the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) program converting free-fall bombs into precision-guided smart weapons. You will work on developing, integrating, testing, and delivering complex software solutions in collaboration with a multi-discipline engineering team.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the United States Air Force and Navy customers, requiring proficiency in Ada, C#, and Python programming for real-time embedded software development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team to implement Operational Flight Program software solutions.
  • Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
  • Develop software using Ada, C#, and Python.
  • Test software and assist system-level testing to verify correct functionality.
  • Analyze problem reports and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Develop leadership skills and work directly with US Air Force and Navy customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing software using Object-Oriented principles and embedded real-time software development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ada, Python, or C#, Git or similar version control system, Agile development.
  • Strong background working within a team environment.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance and complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
