About the Job: First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is seeking a Shop Foreman / Lead Diesel Mechanic for their Gouverneur CSD location. As a Lead Fleet Technician / Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising technicians, scheduling maintenance, diagnosing complex problems, and maintaining service records on school bus fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians in the shop.
- Generate work orders and track progress.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle components.
- Monitor shop operational performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Possess mechanic's tool set.
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
