Job Description

Join our team at ALDI as a 1st Shift Part Time Warehouse Associate. You will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently receiving and selecting incoming stock, facilitating merchandise relocation, and ensuring warehouse cleanliness and safety. As part of our team, you will contribute to our ongoing success by participating in inventory counts, cooperatively communicating with peers and warehouse management, and independently performing delegated responsibilities. Additionally, you will maintain compliance with ALDI standards, demonstrate excellent performance, and adapt positively to pressure and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive and select incoming stock to fulfill store orders
• Relocate merchandise in accordance with product handling guidelines
• Strategically sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls
• Ensure warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements through general cleaning duties
• Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information
• Provide input to warehouse management to improve processes
• Inspect product and consult with warehouse management regarding quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues
• Independently act and decide within the delegated area of responsibility
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals
• Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures
• Follow ergonomic program according to established procedures
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines in the performance of essential job functions
• Notify management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Skill of performing basic arithmetic equations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Gives attention to detail and follows instructions
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
• Frequently move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare products for store deliveries
• Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse
• Continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments
• Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment
