1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the team at Aldi. This full-time position offers 30-35 hours per week with a starting wage ranging from $18.50 to $24.50 per hour, based on shift and schedule differential pay. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, receiving, relocating, sorting, loading, unloading, and cleaning merchandise according to warehouse guidelines. You will work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and provide input to improve warehouse processes. Additionally, you will ensure product quality, safety standards, and sanitation requirements are met, following company policies and procedures diligently.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, load, and unload merchandise strategically.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers and suppliers.
• Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
• Inspect product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Follow ergonomic program and operate equipment safely.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment safely.
