1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

Aldi is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the team. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will play a critical role in efficiently receiving stock, moving merchandise within the warehouse, preparing shipments for stores, and maintaining warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements. You will be responsible for participating in warehouse inventory counts, providing input to warehouse management to improve processes, and inspecting product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues. The role requires independent decision-making and achieving budgeted goals, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Perform general cleaning duties, participate in warehouse inventory counts, and cooperate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to warehouse management regarding process improvements, inspect product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Job Qualifications

• Drive for success, organize and execute with efficiency, and maintain compliance with company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, possess excellent communication skills, and perform basic arithmetic equations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift and place products up to 45 pounds, move merchandise, work in varying temperatures, and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
