1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in receiving, organizing, and preparing merchandise for shipment while maintaining warehouse standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise within the warehouse following handling guidelines.
• Sort, load, and unload merchandise in preparation for shipment.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and management for effective communication.
• Provide feedback to improve warehouse processes and assist in achieving goals.
• Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
• Perform assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to ergonomic guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated concern for quality, safety, and product integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
• Drive for success and efficiency in execution.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic arithmetic skills and ability to follow instructions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products up to 45 pounds on pallets.
• Move merchandise, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
