1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will play a crucial role in efficiently handling incoming stock, preparing merchandise for shipment, maintaining warehouse standards, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
• Strategically sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold warehouse appearance and safety standards.
• Participate in inventory counts and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Provide input for process improvements and support warehouse goals.
• Inspect product quality and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment safely and report any issues to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Demonstrated ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and move products up to 45 pounds.
• Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
• Work in varying temperatures and physically demanding environments.
