Job Description

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Denver, CO. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in planning, supervising, and controlling available resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading and unloading of freight. You will also be responsible for maintaining load plans, assigning job tasks, providing training, and fostering a positive work environment for our team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operations.
• Assign tasks, coordinate work assignments, and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Create a safe working environment and promote safe handling of materials.
• Work collaboratively to achieve department goals.
• Support company values of creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, and wellness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in service center or transportation field preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight handling techniques.
