We are seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. In this role, you will assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and supporting the overall mission of the hotel. Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Assign duties to department heads and monitor performance to ensure compliance with hotel policies.
  • Provide training to staff and department heads.
  • Act as the hotel's public relations director and promote the property within the industry and community.
  • Resolve guest complaints and oversee service recovery processes.
  • Assist in staff selection, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with operating procedures and standards.
  • Participate in property inspections and maintenance monitoring.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, heads of departments, and other teams.
  • Ensure effective communication of hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively and provide guidance.
  • Degree in hotel management or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3-4 years in a similar managerial role.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for effective interactions with guests and staff.
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office.
