Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide exceptional athletic training services within the Sports Medicine Program. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering care at various events, monitoring athlete progress, documenting patient responses, and contributing to multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services at sporting events, community events, and in clinical settings.
• Assess athletes, monitor progress, and document patient responses.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Deliver patient, staff, community, and family education.
• Offer physical therapy care to various demographics under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Requirements

• Current Athletic Training license by the State of Tennessee Division of Health Related Boards.
• CPR Certification required.
• Membership in a professional association recommended.
• Knowledge of growth and development, injury treatment, and human behavior.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and performance assessment skills.
• Deductive reasoning and ability to understand and synthesize information.
