Child Care Director

Job Description

Apple Tree Learning Centers is currently seeking a full-time Child Care Director to join our team at the Chesapeake Location. As the Child Care Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all child care activities, including Infant Care, Preschool, School Age, Summer Camp, and Academy, in alignment with our organization's mission and policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and coordinate various child care programs.
• Train, develop, and supervise child care staff to ensure high-quality programs.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations related to child care.
• Maintain records of enrolled children, staff, and program activities.
• Organize special events for children and families.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and coworkers.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other organizational activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in coordinating or supervising child care programs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Required certifications within 30 days of hire: CPR, First Aid, Virginia Pre-service Training, MAT Training.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
