Class A Tanker Driver Job

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Class A Tanker Driver to join our company at Wright Media. You will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced trucking team and travel across the country while operating advanced trucking equipment. Your main responsibility as a driver will be ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers, maintaining a clean and safe cab and trailer, and performing daily inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working condition. You will also be tasked with planning and navigation duties to ensure the most efficient route, staying up to date with regulations and compliance standards, and effectively communicating with customers and colleagues on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe cab and trailer.
• Performing daily inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
• Performing planning and navigation duties to ensure the most efficient route.
• Keeping up to date with regulations and compliance standards.
• Communicating effectively with customers as well as colleagues on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement in your state of residence.
• Hazmat endorsement is required in some locations.
• Minimum of six (6) months verifiable experience driving a minimum of five (5) axle diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination unit.
• Stable work history.
• Minimum age of 21.
• No driving while intoxicated (DWI) or driving under the influence (DUI) convictions in the previous seven (7) years.
• No more than three (3) traffic citations, or a combination of one (1) highway "at fault" accident or two (2) citations within the last two years.
• Must be able to pass the road test, DOT physical exam, pulmonary function test, and a controlled substance test.
