Job Description
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Clinical Development Lead specializing in Solid Tumor Oncology, specifically in BTC (Biliary Tract Cancer) and GEA (Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma). As the Clinical Development Lead, you will drive the late-stage development and life-cycle management of a key Oncology asset for BTC and GEA, working closely with a cross-functional team to advance the asset from development to commercialization. Leading a team of Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists, you will oversee resource planning, budget management, and team development to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the clinical development of Oncology assets in BTC and GEA, aligning with corporate objectives.
- Develop comprehensive global clinical development plans, including study design and regulatory strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of clinical programs.
- Oversee clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and patient safety.
- Analyze trial data, interpret results, and mitigate risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Foster external collaborations to enhance scientific exchange and advance the oncology pipeline.
- Manage budget and resources for clinical development programs.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the clinical development team.
Requirements
- Experience leading the successful development of Solid Tumor Oncology assets through late-stage development and commercialization.
- Proven leadership skills in developing high-performing clinical development teams.
- Ability to articulate complex insights to executive-level audiences.
- MD required, Board certification in Oncology preferred. Higher postgraduate degree (e.g., PhD) preferred.
- Clinical and/or development experience in solid tumor oncology preferred.
