Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our high-paced, high-volume pharmacy department. As a Clinical Pharmacist at Norman Regional Health System, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care for all patients. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for distributive pharmacy functions and ensuring the pharmacy provides optimal pharmaceutical care to all patients.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of distributive processes and pharmacy programs promoting desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies for all age groups.
  • Use pharmaceutical mathematics to solve problems and demonstrate critical thinking to analyze information.
  • Prioritize work by developing specific goals and plans to organize and accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including lifting and moving items, bending, and climbing steps.
  • Teach pharmacy students serving as interns.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic computer systems and software.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.

Experience:

  • At least 1500 hours in the practice of pharmacy and 2 years full-time equivalent experience working in pharmacy services within a health system or with medication use technology.
  • Preferred 1 year or more experience working with health systems' current medication technology system.
  • Pharmacist experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred 1 year or more experience working in a hospital setting.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Preceptor license preferred.
  • Annual memberships in the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists are strongly encouraged.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $41.20/hr-$67.30/hr depending on previous experience.
