Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi, one of the fastest-growing retailers in the nation. In this role, you will oversee construction cost management on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of construction documents and have an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your responsibilities will include developing negotiation points, providing current pricing data to divisions, preparing bid analysis reports, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Construction Managers on negotiation points with contractors.
• Collaborate with divisional teams to determine appropriate scopes needing further clarification or revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for more consistent pricing structures.
• Prepare detailed bid analysis reports for project award decisions.
• Track pricing data and advise on efficiency improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by reviewing construction documents and proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and RS Means software.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and understand construction cost indices.
