Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to assess construction bids. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in construction documents and have an educational foundation in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary focus will be to ensure that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Work with the Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager to define appropriate project scopes.
• Provide pricing data and practices to ensure consistency in pricing.
• Analyze bids and produce reports for project awards.
• Monitor pricing data quarterly and advise on process improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
• Forecast pricing trends in the market.
• Assist in training and developing team members.
• Uphold document security and confidentiality.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Estimating.
