Construction Project Director

Job Description

The Construction Project Director at BluSky plays a pivotal role in overseeing new business opportunities and managing restoration, renovation, and roofing services for commercial, industrial, government, and residential properties. This position involves collaborating closely with property owners and managers to develop cost estimates, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Sales: Meet or exceed sales goals, negotiate contracts, track opportunities.
• Revenue: Oversee revenue production, collaborate with the project team.
• Profit Margins: Develop project budgets, monitor costs, seek to improve profitability.
• AR & Collections: Manage accounts receivable, maintain DSO below 75 days.
• Business Development Activity: Schedule meetings, participate in events, close sales.
• Estimating Proficiency: Accurate sketching, estimate project costs, explain Xactimate line items.
• Customer Satisfaction: Communicate with stakeholders, provide updates, ensure customer expectations are met.
• Working and coordinating with internal teams: Coordinate mitigation and reconstruction processes, communicate with project accountants and business development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of marketing/business development and sales experience in the construction industry.
• Construction estimating and/or large loss experience.
• Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills, knowledge of Xactimate.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Business ethics, integrity, ability to work autonomously.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, First Aid certifications preferred.
