Job Description
The Construction Project Director at BluSky is responsible for managing and closing new business opportunities by developing cost estimates for restoration, renovation, and roofing services for properties affected by disasters. Working closely with commercial, industrial, government, and residential property owners, the Project Director ensures customer satisfaction and profitability while overseeing revenue production, profit margins, and collections.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Meet or exceed sales goals, negotiate contracts, and convert opportunities into sales.
- Revenue: Oversee revenue production, billing timeliness, and margin compliance.
- Profit Margins: Develop project budgets, ensure accuracy, and monitor costs for profitability.
- AR & Collections: Manage accounts receivable, perform collection activities, and maintain DSO.
- Managing near-term opportunities by working with clients and claims teams.
- Business Development Activity: Attend client meetings, special events, and drive sales through networking.
- Estimating Proficiency: Accurately estimate projects, explain bill files, and ensure target margins.
- Customer Satisfaction: Communicate consistently with stakeholders, set expectations, and monitor project updates.
- Working and coordinating with internal teams for mitigation and reconstruction projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of marketing/business development experience in construction/restoration industry.
- Construction estimating and large loss/catastrophe experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Xactimate, and social media platforms preferred.
- Strong communication, project management, and financial skills necessary.
- OSHA certification and Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
