Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills.
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and procedural improvements.
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
- Comply with company policies, uphold security standards, and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
- General cleaning tasks adherence to company standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Compliance with state and local regulations concerning alcohol sales.
- Prior retail experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous work experience in a retail setting is a plus.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
