Job Description: Director Toxicology
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director of Toxicology to manage global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology for the assigned portfolio products. This key position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's drug development programs from research to registration and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and manage direct reports in designing and conducting toxicology studies.
- Interpret and report toxicology findings, ensuring timely and high-quality study deliverables.
- Represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams, addressing potential toxicology issues and proposing de-risking strategies.
- Contribute to regulatory submissions and responses to health authorities.
- Provide expertise on discovery and nonclinical development strategy.
- Collaborate with internal functions and external partners to advance drug development activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant literature and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biochemistry, or Biology.
- 8-10 years of experience in small and large molecules, preferably in oncology and CNS indications.
- Expertise in outsourcing and monitoring toxicology studies, with strong regulatory knowledge.
- Experience in authoring nonclinical elements of regulatory submissions.
- Ability to integrate multidisciplinary scientific data and communicate effectively.
- Strong verbal communication and scientific writing skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Compensation:
Base pay range: $192,000-$288,000 with additional annual cash bonus, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits package.
