Job Description

RICH TRANSPORT LLC is currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our Dispatch department. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher will play a crucial role in managing driver assignments, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Enter Bill of Lading information, ETAs, PTAs, and trailer numbers daily.
• Communicate delays to appropriate departments promptly.
• Assist other driver managers/dispatchers when necessary.
• Maintain records of company truck mileages driven by company drivers.
• Monitor load schedules to prevent delays and inform relevant personnel if issues arise.
• Conduct daily check calls with drivers and support other dispatchers in their duties.
• Support Load Planners/Coordinators as required.
• Complete additional reports or forms as requested by management.
• Track drivers' hours to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Efficiently manage incoming dispatch calls and accurately input necessary information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with the McLeod database and ability to build manifests.
• Knowledge of load splitting based on delivery times.
