Job Description

The Engineer, Level 1, at Hilton Phoenix Airport is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. Responsibilities include repairing HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing various systems, and ensuring compliance with all codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Replace light switches, receptacles, and bulbs.
• Perform plumbing repairs and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Paint designated areas and repair sheet rock and wall coverings.
• Program hotel electronic lock system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, with hotel or related field experience.
• Progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework helpful.
• Effective communication skills and ability to handle heavy work.
• Must attend required meetings/training and maintain high standards.
• Ability to multitask, provide exceptional guest service, and maintain confidentiality.
• Capable of problem-solving and understanding complex information.
