Job Description
The Engineer 2 position at Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company known for its innovative approach. As an Engineer Level 2, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the property in optimal condition while ensuring minimal disruption to guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
- Take readings on equipment, test cooling tower, and replace televisions.
- Handle furniture repair, plumbing issues, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
- Perform and maintain work according to local, state, and Federal codes.
- Assist in supervising other engineering staff members and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with one year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- At least two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school and/or College course work in a related field is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Warm and friendly demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Capability to anticipate, prevent, and solve problems efficiently.
- Willingness to cross-train in various hotel-related areas.
