Job Description

The Engineer, Level 1, at Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport, is responsible for maintaining the property in top condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. You will perform various repair and maintenance tasks on hotel equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Test and record readings on various equipment like cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions, light fixtures, bulbs, switches, and receptacles when needed.
• Perform plumbing repairs, trace and repair water lines, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Maintain accurate repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and Federal codes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to lift heavy weights and flexibility for long hours when needed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
