Job Description
The Studio Allston Hotel is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department. In the absence of senior management, you will assume administrative, financial, and operational responsibilities for the department, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to keep property, equipment, and grounds in optimal condition.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws related to the facility.
- Supervise and train engineering staff on customer service standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Participate in energy conservation initiatives and oversee emergency equipment inspections and certifications.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and manage vendor contracts.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school or college coursework preferred.
- Minimum three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours as needed.
