Food Service (Line Cook)

Job Description

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Line Cook to join our dynamic Food Service Department. As part of our self-operated cafeterias, you will play a crucial role in maintaining sanitation standards and delivering quality service to our employees. While no previous experience is required, a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and supplies to designated areas and ensure timely cleanup.
• Handle dishes of varying weights and maintain cleanliness in cafeterias.
• Stock deliveries and assist in miscellaneous tasks like mopping and inventory recording.
• Perform additional duties such as operating the cash register or food preparation as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to become a certified driver for cafeteria vehicles (training provided).
• Capacity to work in a team environment and meet daily deadlines.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to obtain food safety certification within the first 60 days (company-sponsored).
• Previous experience in food service is preferred.
