Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a key part in store management by assisting with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans. You will also focus on identifying training opportunities to cultivate team growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve store performance.
- Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Communicate company strategy and core values to foster teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide product feedback and participate in the interviewing process.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper stock levels.
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical tasks.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk.
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Operational and management skills.
- Ability to operate a cash register and equipment.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of retail experience.
- Prior management experience preferred.
