Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while providing exceptional customer service. From developing operational plans to managing schedules, you will be at the forefront of store management.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the direct leader to improve operating results and enhance team performance.
- Establish job responsibilities and expectations for team members to achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify and implement training opportunities to boost team performance.
- Communicate company values to create a cohesive team environment.
- Monitor the local market to maintain a competitive edge.
- Contribute to product selection and provide valuable feedback.
- Lead store personnel in day-to-day operations and customer service.
- Maintain inventory procedures and ensure a clean and organized store.
- Assist with payroll management, inventory counts, and employee training.
- Address operational issues promptly and effectively in the absence of the direct leader.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in retail management preferred.
- Operational knowledge of cash register and store equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to retail management knowledge.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
