Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stock management, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping journey.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any operational issues.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow cash handling policies and adhere to company procedures.
- Comply with all company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or above.
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
- Skilled in operating a cash register accurately.
- Capable of safely using equipment such as a floor scrubber and cardboard baler.
- Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at working both independently and in a team environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
- Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales if applicable.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
- A combination of education and equivalent experience is acceptable.
