Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store is well-organized, merchandise is stocked, and customers receive exceptional service. This position involves cashiering, general cleaning, and collaborating with team members to maintain a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) expected for the role.
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while ensuring document security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient operation of a cash register.
- Safely operate equipment such as an electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Attention to detail, follow instructions, and multi-task efficiently.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is a plus.
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
