Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will be immersed in all aspects of running a store efficiently and effectively, preparing you for the opportunity to manage your own store. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, developing action plans, and mentoring your team.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills to lead the team effectively.
  • Supervise daily store operations to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Understand and communicate the company's strategy and values to foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Handle customer concerns promptly and ensure resolutions.
  • Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness standards.
  • Participate in the hiring process and manage staff schedules.
  • Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Identify training opportunities and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Manage store budgets, payroll, and loss prevention.
  • Provide feedback on product selection and maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure a safe in-store environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Conduct store inventory counts and compliance checks.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while upholding document security.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in retail and prior management roles preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and implementing company policies.
  • Skilled in budget management, personnel costs, and operational expenses.
  • Familiarity with operating cash registers and store equipment.
  • Capability to multitask, follow instructions, and pay attention to detail.
  • Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.
