Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic

Salary: Up to $35.57 per hour based on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. The candidate will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance inspections, performing all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs, and ensuring accuracy in work orders. Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PM’s).
  • Complete repairs on defects found during a PM.
  • Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs including but not limited to brakes, suspensions, engines, and transmissions.
  • Complete repairs on defects noted during daily vehicle inspections-pre-trip inspections (DVI’s).
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
  • Mechanic’s toolset.
  • ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided).
  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
