Hiring Company Drivers
The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. include performing pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring safe loading/unloading, and proper operation of equipment. Delivery Drivers review paperwork for accuracy, check orders, deliver and unload products, and operate vehicles safely while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignment, and route instructions
- Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections according to DOT regulations
- Verify loads, load destinations, and secure loads properly
- Ensure all cargo is secured throughout the delivery route
- Complete and verify all required paperwork and temperature requirements
- Accurately report hours of service in compliance with DOT regulations using an electronic logging device
- Communicate any issues affecting the route plan
