Job Description
The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. include performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring safe loading/unloading, and proper operation of equipment. Delivery Drivers review paperwork, check orders, deliver and unload products utilizing various equipment, and operate vehicles in a safe and compliant manner. Maintaining on-time deliveries and professional communication with customers are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignment along with instructions
- Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Couple the tractor and trailer, inspect and secure loads
- Follow route plans, meet delivery/pick-up requirements, and communicate route issues
- Ensure cargo security throughout the delivery route
- Complete and verify all required paperwork and comply with hours of service regulations
- Report to work on time and in a well-rested condition
- Document and report any defects or concerns with vehicles
