Job Description
The essential functions and basic duties of the Company Driver are to perform pre and post trip inspection of their vehicle, utilizing knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and the proper operation of their equipment. As a Delivery Driver, you are responsible for reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy, checking orders, delivering products, and unloading utilizing equipment. Operating the vehicle safely while maintaining compliance with local, state, and Federal requirements is paramount, ensuring on-time delivery and professional communication with customers and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignment along with instructions for the route
- Conduct pre-trip, inter trip, and post-trip inspections for all units operated in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Verify load, destination, and proper load securement
- Follow the route plan and meet all delivery/pickup requirements for each store
- Complete store clean-outs as contracted, receive and load items for return to the distribution center as needed
- Ensure all cargo is secured throughout the delivery route and complete all required paperwork
- Report hours of service in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations using an electronic logging device
