Job Description
The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. involve performing pre and post-trip inspections of their vehicle and ensuring safe and effective loading/unloading operations, along with proper equipment operation. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignments with specific instructions
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Verify load destination and securement
- Follow route plans for timely deliveries and pick-ups
- Ensure all cargo is securely transported
- Complete required paperwork following regulations
- Maintain accurate reporting of hours of service using electronic logging devices
- Document any defects or concerns with equipment
