Hiring Local City Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a Local City Driver / Forklift Operator for a full-time position in Brooklyn, NY with ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of cargo to various destinations, loading and unloading trailers, and ensuring efficient transportation and logistics operations.

General Description of Duties

• Perform pickup and delivery of cargo in proximity to the consolidation/distribution center.
• Utilize proper techniques, technology, and procedures for loading and unloading trailers.
• Actual duties and schedule may vary based on terminal location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience required (training available for candidates with less experience).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements.
• Good stable work record and safe driving history.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet medical requirements.
