Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms including vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance for various equipment such as ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
• Conduct plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply elements; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and small equipment as needed.
• Follow up immediately on alarms to determine location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other assigned tasks/jobs as directed by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure in a trade preferred (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the applicable state and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record specific to the property.
