Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and appearance of all guest rooms and public areas at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for supervising personnel, managing supplies and linen, coordinating maintenance work orders, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Create schedules and assignments for housekeeping staff.
- Supervise and monitor the work of Room Inspectors, Attendants, Housemen, and Laundry staff.
- Train, hire, and manage department personnel.
- Address guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and uniforms, and reorder as needed.
- Test and implement new products and cleaning chemicals.
- Conduct daily room inspections to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Ensure storage areas are organized and well-stocked.
- Adhere to safety standards and complete administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
- Detail-oriented with strong inspection skills.
- Team player able to lead and motivate a team.
- High school diploma required; 3+ years of hotel operations experience preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
