Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc as the Care Team Nurse. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing high-risk and chronically ill patients, providing education to patients and families, and ensuring smooth operations within the care team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control and age-appropriate care for pediatric patients.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients and families.
• Provide urgent in-office and telephone triage care as well as crisis management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care using EMR.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care to prevent complications and readmissions.
• Continuously update pediatric-centered education and training.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive medical information and EMR systems.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current valid LPN license in Massachusetts with BLS certification.
• Compliance with Continuing Educational Units (CEU's) for licensure.
