Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Aveanna Healthcare

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to care plans and physicians' orders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously assess patient condition and report changes to supervisors/physicians.
  • Document activities, assessments, and nursing actions accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in care planning and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Implement necessary care interventions to prevent/respond to changes in patient needs.
  • Comply with Aveanna policies, regulations, and infection control measures.
  • Educate patients and families on self-care, disease management, and prevention.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.
  • State-specific experience requirements apply.

Preferences:

  • Recent clinical care experience as an LPN.
  • Home health experience.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Lift and reposition patients/equipment.
  • Various physical activities like walking, standing, bending, etc.
  • Visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity.
  • Quick response to emergency situations.

Environment:

  • Ability to function in diverse environments, possibly exposed to allergens and infectious conditions.
  • Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
