Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join Homewood Suites Glen Allen. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating, cooling, and hot water systems.
• Keep records of equipment maintenance, repair, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Train and work with hotel maintenance staff.
• Maintain the appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior.
• Ensure the quality of guest rooms and common areas.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Qualification Summary

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience desired.
• Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to work with financial information and basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

The role requires standing for long hours, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Candidates must have good vision, hearing, and English language skills.
