Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join Joyce University in a part-time capacity at our Draper, UT campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to facility repair and general maintenance. The Maintenance Technician must demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of efficiently addressing a wide range of maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain the campus's aesthetic appearance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensing in relevant trades is a plus.
