Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity at Joyce University. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairing facilities, painting, handling maintenance requests, and ensuring safety standards compliance.

This part-time position is based at our Draper, UT campus.

Responsibilities

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly for maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Lift and move furniture.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assemble and install furniture.
• Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
• Troubleshoot basic plumbing and electrical issues.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on projects.
• Perform assigned tasks and projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.
