Job Description
We are seeking a Nursing Graduate to join our team at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, MD. This full-time position in the Emergency Room requires a weekend commitment with varying day and night shifts. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and organizational protocols. You will collaborate with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to ensure quality care delivery and maintain a safe patient care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care based on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of patients.
- Assess patients for changes that may hinder recovery.
- Maintain clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patient care.
- Create and revise care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure with Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State.
- Minimum 2 years Nursing Experience specific to Emergency Services preferred.
- BLS certification required, ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS and Hazmat within one year of hire.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred.
Unit Details
The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features advanced technology and amenities for emergency care, including private treatment rooms and a behavioral health treatment pod. The department is equipped with a CT Scanner for early diagnosis of conditions such as strokes and heart attacks.
