We are hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As an evening shift, full-time Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team. Join a 656-bed hospital with advanced medical facilities, including The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative working environment.
• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively to provide essential data to care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate competency and follow procedural directions accurately.
• Ensure productivity by organizing work and collaborating with coworkers.
• Adhere to specimen packaging and transport protocols.
• Accession specimens as required.
• Practice proper infection control and patient identification.
• Perform drug screen collection and processing.
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Prioritize patient care quality and service excellence.
• Collaborate with different departments within the hospital.
• Perform arterial punctures when assigned.
• Contribute to the growth of the laboratory.
• Handle additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
