Registered Nurse I - Trauma\Burn Step-down

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse I to join our Trauma/Burn Step-down team at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). In this role, you will provide individualized patient care, interact with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and deliver safe and effective care following the principles of the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal-directed patient care to families and patients.
• Interact with healthcare team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• Comply with licensure, certifications, and registrations requirements.
• Perform job functions while meeting physical job requirements.
• Maintain good sensory functions and deal with stressful situations effectively.
• Ensure a latex-safe environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts and overtime as necessary.
