Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Registered Nurse in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients throughout their perioperative experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, deliver care, and evaluate outcomes using the nursing process.
- Coordinate perioperative care before, during, and after surgical/invasive procedures.
- Provide pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure patient monitoring, and post-procedure critical evaluation.
- Facilitate effective pain management and patient/family education.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
- Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience.
- ACLS certification required, PALS within 12 months.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
