Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pre-Op unit. In this role, you will provide care to a diverse patient population preparing for surgeries across all service lines. As a part of our 22-bay prep unit, you will work with both inpatient and outpatient individuals with various conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients before surgery.
- Assess patient conditions and prepare them for procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Prior experience in pre-operative care is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
