Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after surgical/invasive procedures. This role encompasses pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure evaluation, pain management, and patient/family education.

The Perioperative Services Float RN will gain expertise in two out of three areas: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience; Critical Care experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required; PALS within 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Competent in IV therapy, venipuncture, and critical thinking.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks promptly.
• Previous experience in Perioperative Services a plus.
